Land Use Processes and Codes

The Town of Paradise Valley utilizes specific processes and codes to review development proposals and the information below can be referenced as a general guide .  The topics covered includes special use permits, conditional use permits, platting, building permits, hillside review, and variances.  Since the information is general in nature, it should only be used as a reference.  For specific information on submittal requirements, processes, applications, or other items related to development proposals please reference Town Code, the Zoning Ordinance, Town Policies, or Submittal Applications.  Town staff will be glad to assist you with any questions you have and can be reached at 480-348-3693.  Pre-Applications for development proposals are reviewed at no cost and usually within two weeks, depending on the nature of the request.

Land Use Committee Training

Former Paradise Valley Town Attorney Andrew Miller and Marana Town Attorney Frank Cassidy provided training to members of the Planning Commission, Board of Adjustment, and Hillside Building Committee on April 11, 2018. The training focused on duties and responsibilities unique to land use decision-making bodies. The training is split into two parts each lasting about two hours.
