Councilmember Ellen Andeen
Councilmember Ellen Andeen is serving her first term as a member of Town Council.
Councilmember Andeen is a native of Arizona and a 3rd generation native of the Town of Paradise Valley. She has had family members active in the Town since the 50s, most notably her Father, Richard Andeen, who served on Council in the 80s. Her Mother, Anne Andeen currently serves on the Historical Committee after various committee appointments throughout the years.
Ellen attended Scottsdale public schools (SUSD) and the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ double majoring in Accounting/Finance. Councilmember Andeen returned to the University of Arizona 2016 attaining a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) graduating summa cum laude. She aspires to obtain a Doctorate in Statistics or Economics.
Ellen has worked in the banking industry since 1995 with a focus in the automotive industry. She currently works for a national bank which has provided automotive financing for 90+ years. Ellen’s service market is Arizona, Albuquerque and the El Paso area.
Fulfilling a lifelong commitment to giving back to the law enforcement community, Ellen has served as a Paradise Valley Police Department Volunteer, prior to her election to Town Council. She also serves as the Board Treasurer to the FBI Phoenix Citizens Academy Alumni Association. Ellen is an advocate for Special Olympics Arizona participating with PVPD in various activities.
Ellen’s priorities include public safety, preservation of our unique town character, fiscal responsibility and responsible development.
Councilmember Andeen grew up living on the east facing side of Mummy Mountain and it is also where she resides today. Ellen is passionate about hiking, weight lifting, basketball, fashion & photography to name a few.
Councilmember Andeen feels extremely honored and privileged to serve the Town of Paradise Valley.
