Volunteer of the Year - Charlie Herf

The Paradise Valley Police Department recognizes Charlie Herf as 2019 Volunteer of the Year for his significant contributions and dedication to their police department, residents and Town guests.

Highlights from Charlie's peer letters of nominations:

"Charlie has always been, and still is, one of our most active volunteers, continually accepting multiple responsibilities and currently holds one of five "Regional" positions, under the Chair. He is an excellent Volunteer Training Officer (VTO), giving new volunteers the benefit of his experience and wisdom. He is also the liaison with the PV schools and, in addition to participating in most of the most community events, has been the main coordinator for several."

"[Charlie] has also provided excellent advise and recommendations on improving some of our processes as the group has grown and matured."

"Charlie is the quintessential volunteer: good at multiple things; cheerful and always willing to help others; good management, organization and leadership skills; a real asset to the department."
